Christmas Message from Ms O’Dowd
Christmas message from the Principal
On the occasion of Christmas, may I extend my warm wishes to you and your family. As we conclude 2022 and break for the Christmas holiday, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all.
My first term as principal of this school has been very busy but also extremely rewarding. There is an Irish expression that goes “Tús maith, leath na hoibre” and yes indeed this beginning has been a positive learning curve for me. I am, however, very much looking forward to the many challenges and opportunities ahead of me as leader of this school.
I’m lucky to have a committed, hardworking and supportive Staff and Board of Management which has assisted me hugely with this transition. I am always appreciative of the support of our parents and families and the way they embrace our partnership to work together in delivering the best possible outcomes for the children – Thank you for your participation and understanding this past term.
Finally, I would like to thank the children for their enthusiasm and hard work, especially these past few weeks preparing for our Carol services and Christmas plays. Their preparation and dedication was very much evident in their performances. Well done!
May I conclude my Christmas message for 2022 by offering Nagle-Rice School community my very best wishes for the festive season. I sincerely hope you all have an opportunity to experience the real meaning of Christmas, enjoy the festivities of the New Year and spend quality time with family and friends. I look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, 9th January, 2023!
Nollaig Shona daoibh go léir ó fhoireann na scoile!!
Le gach dea-ghuí,
Ms. Aileen O Dowd – Príomhoide.
